Prompts in Practice Test
The redesigned APUSH exam first appeared in 2015. The original multiple-choice questions were relatively straightforward. In fact, it was often possible to skip the prompt and go directly to the questions.
Times are changing. Reports from students consistently indicate that recent APUSH multiple-choice questions are much more challenging. Unlike the earlier questions, the new ones are often carefully linked to the passage. The questions never ask for individual names and instead focus on key developments, patterns, and trends.
The 2022 edition of Master the Multiple Choice is designed to provide realistic practice for the new generation of APUSH multiple-choice questions. The book contains a comprehensive set of 7 prompts and 20 multiple-choice questions for each of the 9 time periods. It concludes with a practice exam with 19 prompts and 55 multiple-choice questions.
